Work work and some play

Its been some time since i last posted here because of work and the fact my computer is being abit gay and not working. the last fews weeks have been good working alot and windsurfing when i get the time to. Went to poole yesterday there was pretty much no wind so not really worth the trip but still had a nice light-wind freestyle sesson and had my frist ever go kitesurfing!! Never fear windsurfing runs in my veins still kitesurfing just seems to much hassel for me.

Looking at Calshot for monday should be a good wind day figers crossed.

Personality

New career is almost in reach!

I was thinking it was time for me to hang up the BA and putting the sunny's aside.

Unlike teaching windsurfing i see this as a big career for myself as i saw windsurfing as a past time to get away for the summer, but no more seasons for me (unless i manage to get on the ships!)
I have been looking for a job that would keep me busy, interested and a good amount of time off to windsurf as i will be mainly working nights its ideal for me!

Can you guess what it is i'm on about yet?

Thats right i am training to become a Coupier and i had some really good news the other day, My gaming lience has been issued and i only have max 2 weeks left on the training school. Really looking forward to getting in the pit and dealing some games.
I have been learning 3 games over the past 6 weeks:
Roulette (easyest game to Play, Hardest game to deal!),
Blackjack (21 love it!),
and Three Card Poker.

Alot of time and hard work has been put into the our training and all off us there would like to thank Gale, Tim and Sue for there help

O yeah and the was going off this week so lets just hope it keeps up for a windy weekend and i hope to get out on Sunday i'll keep you posted.

Windy weekend!

Windguru was looking good for the weekend and it delivered more than i was hoping so we headed to Calshot it turned out windguru wasn't liying!

Saturday was a nice steady wind from the SW around 17knts we rigged up a 5.3 and got on with the job in hand and that job was to surf!

Didn't really try anything interesting stacked all attempts at vulcans and only really got a few nice jumps in out back with the swell, myself and Kyle had taking it in turns going out as he only had his kite with him and it was to windy for it? as i sat there wait for him to in i saw a sail out the corner of my eye and then it just went in to overload on some sick freestyle doing a sick Funnel coming in, as i went out i went past him and then he pulled off a shaka landed it and just sailed of like nothing happened only when i got back home did i realise it was Al bently showing off, just wish i got some video of him doing his stuff and not of me and Kyle mincing around and stacking everywhere we went!!

Sunday was abit to windy for myself so i rigged the 4.5 and got my ass whooped trying pretty much everything but i did manage a bodydrag and a few big jumps??

And cheers to Papa Kyle for taking us down to calshot shame you didn't get out on the water.

The wind is looking good for the week so i look forward to seeing you out there.

Freestyling!!

Frist time in Calshot!

Windguru was looking good, got the kit together, toke a half day at work and a few off us headed down to Calshot (3 kiters and me!) even tough i live and work in Southampton and have done all my life i had never been to Calshot, but i have to say what a spot! Nice flat water, good wind, a nice area to rig and friendly people (even though most of them where kiters)

The wind was ok for about an hour then nothing! :(

So i came in and sat around for about 30mins then Pow it was back and i was a very happy camper.
All in all i windsurfed for 4hours keep on trying vulcans, upwind 360's and downwind 360's.
Hopefully next sesson i'll get some photos and try to get some video.

Epic!!

The last few days have been EPIC for wind and i have been on the water 3 times this week, twice at a local spot just off netley abby a spot we just came across no crowds and flat water only down side is the walk back in shin deep mud and today we headed down to poole harbour one word EPIC 5.3 fully stacked and at some points well over powered and the wind picked up as the day went on.

Got some nice gybes in, tryed a few more vulcans, up wind 3's and down wind 3's shame i didn't get any photos!

Least it was a welcome change to light wind!

Finaly got out on the water!!

We almost didn't think it was going to happen but then the wind gods answered with some wind (all be it not very strong!!) But we got out for a while.
Got some nice light wind freestyle on the go, upwind 360s, heli tacks, sail 360s and foward loop training all in all not to bad, hopefully just a warm up for the weekend!

Its been a while but here it is, the video i made while i was out in Kos the only day we got to go out with the camara, not so much wind tho!!

Home again!

After being in Kos for a few weeks i have come home to sunny southampton (Not) The weekend was looking good for wind but couldn't get down to the beach because someone was in London (kyle)
But went to Oxford to see my brother and family there, did some painting (seems to me thats all i do these days!)in the new babys room due in september

Maybe next week i'll get to go windsurfing again!!

First sesson of the summer

Eairler i said there was no wind but as i finished up my post there it came so we rushed back rigged up and got out there good sesson seen as i havn't been on the water since the winter, it was good but know i am in some pain need to get back into training hopefully tomorrow will be going off i will keep you posted and soon some pictures will follow!
